Cherokee Davis

Cherokee Davis (Baseball.  Born, Newark, NJ, Feb. 6, 1918; died, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Nov. 17, 1982.)  An outfield star for the Newark Eagles of the Negro National League from 1941-49, John Davis helped Newark win the Negro World Series in 1946.
